Radiofrequency microneedling has become extremely popular the last few years, for both skin tightening and cellulite removal - and even for fibrosis reduction after lipo (for which it is totally the wrong treatment).
We have tried RF microneedling around 2014, way before it became popular around 2019 - and all the rage around 2022 - and found it lacking, both in terms of effectiveness and most importantly in terms of safety.
The best way to understand the reasoning for us not offering Morpheus8 or other RF microneedling is feedback and reviews from real people in the real world, as opposed to the virtual reality of instagram and tiktok.
Real world reviews show an average of 34% dissatisfaction rating - this means that one in three is quite unhappy about the treatment. As you can see from the link, this high dissatisfaction rating mainly revolves around adverse reactions, with cases such as below.
This does not include the “Not sure” people who, if counted, would elevate the treatment dissatisfaction rating to 67% (correct on 7/2/2025, when this article was first written).

Given how lucrative this treatment is, we would love to offer such a technology at our clinic, IF it was safe and effective. Who doesn’t want to offer a “miracle” treatment and make lots of money in the process?
But this technique is neither safe enough for us to offer nor miraculous as touted. So we don’t do it.
