Probiotics can help boost weight loss - if you also eat healthily at the same time

Lactobacillus + polyphenols + low calorie diet = guaranteed weight loss

In a recently published study it was shown that probiotic, in general, help you lose weight, but the effect greatly depends on what type of probiotic you use and that best results are obtained when you combined lactobacillus bacteria with a low calorie diet or with polyphenols from herbs, vegetables and fruit.

Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Lactobacillus casei are some of the best probiotic strains.

Georgios' comment

It is known for several years now that under certain conditions probiotics can help you lose weight and fecal transplantation can actually help some obese people with bacterial dysbiosis lose weight too.

This literature review shows that consumption of polyphenols assist in this process and this makes sense, considering that probiotic colonisation in the gut depends on eating the right foods (basically fruit, herbs and veg) and avoiding simple carbs and too much fat.
