Define, Tighten and lift the
JOWL, UNDER-CHIN & CHEEK AREA

The "Jowl Lift"

What are the causes of loose, saggy skin on the jowl area?

Skin can get loose and saggy on the jowl, under-chin and cheek area, due either to the normal ageing process or due to fat accumulation in the area. As fat cells (adipocytes) expand they literally displace collagen cells (fibroblasts) breakdown the collagen structure around them, gradually replacing collagen and elastin, which is firm and elastic, with fat tissue, which is soft and spongy.

Eating a lot of sugary food, yo-yo dieting, crash dieting, constant fasting, low protein intake, smoking and drinking alcohol accelerate the ageing process and the breakdown or collagen and elastin. As a result skin becomes less elastic and less firm, i.e. loose, thin and saggy. Once skin has lost its firmness and elasticity it is impossible to regain it just by adapting to a healthier lifestyle and a good skin tightening treatment is needed.

To operate or not?

In some cases, if fat accumulation or skin laxity on this area is very progressed and skin is very droopy, only surgery can offer satisfactory results. However, for lighter cases surgery is an overkill (especially as it usually leads to scar tissue formation) and non-surgical skin tightening methods are preferred. A non-surgical skin tightening / lifting treatment will also have the advantage of improving the overall texture and quality of the skin.

Non-surgical jowl lift treatments

Cooled, high-power, monopolar radiofrequency:
the strongest skin tightening and lifting technology known today

Thankfully, technology can be used to tighten/lift the skin naturally, when surgery is not suitable. It is widely established today that the only butt lifting treatment that works, barring surgery, is cooled, high intensity, resistive, monopolar radiofrequency (the low power or bipolar radiofrequency treatments you see on fake "before and after photos" on Instagram performed by mobile therapists, are just a waste of time; no good radiofrequency machine is portable, even for face treatments).

This type of radiofrequency focuses on the dermis and hypodermis, where the skin's large collagen structures are located. It helps tighten up the skin, reduce local fat and boost circulation, all at the same time.

It is also widely accepted that highly concentrated extracts of centella asiatica, hydroxyproline, forskolin, caffeine and ascorbic acid (vitamin C) are some of the strongest skin tightening / contouring natural actives available (low purity or low concentration actives don't work). Injection-free mesotherapy can help skin absorb those actives 500% more effectively and thereby can assist with cellulite/fat removal and skin firming, but only if a highly concentrated mix of several natural active ingredients is used.

Meso-CRF® Facial | Centella for emphasis on skin tightening

For clients whose biggest problem is skin laxity, we prefer to use centella asiatica as the "signature" active ingredient for our treatments. Centella asiatica is known to be a potent skin tightening active. You don't need to know or decide now which Meso-CRF® treatment you need. We will decide what's the best for you on your first session, after your assessment and provide the appropriate treatment.

Meso-CRF® Facial | Green Tea for emphasis on acne prone skin

Although Meso-CRF® Facial (Jowl Lift) is a skin tightening/lifting treatment, for clients who suffer from acne we can use green tea extract (EGCG) as the "signature" active ingredient for our treatments. EGCG from green tea is known to help reduce sebum production and thus relieve acne prone skin. As acne is a medical condition, we do not make any claims about treating acne). You don't need to know or decide now which Meso-CRF® treatment you need. We will decide what's the best for you on your first session, after your assessment and provide the appropriate treatment.
