Meso-CRF® Post-lipo treatments

(liposuction, tummy tuck, Vaser, smart lipo, bodytite, cellutite, cellulaze)

Liposuction is sometimes the only method to remove large amounts of stubborn fat, but it can also leave behind saggy skin and residual fat lumps and makes cellulite more evident. Liposuction typically leaves the skin loose and saggy, because it removes excess fat that previously used to occupy a certain amount of volume underneath the skin which used to keep the skin taut. Skin contracts very slowly on it's own and in most cases it never regains it's pre-overweight shape and tone after the removal of fat. Bodytite, vaser and smart lipo procedures claim to tighten up the skin, but this tightening effect is quite short-lived (less than a year) and quite often these procedures cause scar tissue, which is quite persistent (quite often still visible palpable after two years or more).

For the exact same reason (loose, saggy skin), cellulite is more evident after liposuction. Liposuction does not make cellulite worse, but it makes it look worse. At this point it is important to clarify that, contrary to popular belief, liposuction and mini-liposuction procedures such as "smart lipo", "bodytite", tummy tuck and "vaser" CANNOT remove cellulite. This is because cellulite is fat INSIDE the skin itself, while liposuction removes fat UNDER the skin. Because cellulite is an inherent part of the skin structure it can not be surgically removed without removing the skin itself, so all cellulite treatments are by definition non-surgical (if anyone promises you cellulite reduction with liposuction, vaser, smart lipo, tummy tuck or bodytite, they are clearly trying to mislead you). There are a couple of cellulite surgical treatments, which work by removing the collagen fibres that cause the cellulite mattress appearance, but by doing so they also make the skin very loose, so you swap cellulite with skin jelly-like looseness / flabbiness which actually looks worse.

Furthermore, quite often small pockets of fat remain unremoved by the surgeon. In some cases the surgeon agrees to do a "touch up" and remove those fat pockets, but this is not always possible, especially if you had your liposuction procedure abroad or if you are very sensitive after surgery. Moreover, residual fat removal touch-ups are not always successful.

Skin tightening & anti-cellulite post-lipo treatments

Fortunately, today there exist today non-surgical technologies that can help remove residual fat, tighten up saggy skin and reduce cellulite, thereby helping you polish your look after surgery and correct some of the side effects of surgery.

High-power monopolar radiofrequency
High-power monopolar radiofrequency treatment does contract existing collagen fibres and also stimulates the secretion of new elastin and collagen from the fibroblasts (collagen cells), gradually firming up and lifting the excess skin and "taking up the slack". The same treatment also stimulates the release of fat from fat cells located in the cellulite tissues, as well as in the unremoved fat lumps, and breaks down a number of them. This process is called thermolipolysis.

High-power ultrasound cavitation
High-power, low-frequency ultrasound cavitation treatments stimulate the release of fat from fat cells and breaks down fat cells, via a different mechanism (sonolipolysis) to that of radiofrequency treatments.

Electro-mesotherapy can also assist in the removal of fat and skin tightening by stimulating the uptake of anti-cellulite, fat releasing and skin firming active ingredients by fat cells and collagen cells, respectively. Electro-mesotherapy is more effective if a high concentration of several active ingredients is used for the treatment.

LipoTherapeia: the post-lipo experts

At LipoTherapeia, we only specialise in radiofrequency, cavitation and electro-mesotherapy and we only practise cellulite reduction and skin tightening for the face & body. We provide 1000+ such treatments per year (6000 Meso-CRF® treatments provided so far), and the last several years we have seen hundreds of post-lipo clients), so you are guaranteed to receive expert consultation and treatment.

Our technique, developed over 6 years and based on our deep understanding of radiofrequency Physics, is the most advanced available today and very specific to deep collagen tightening / lifting (action on the dermis and subdermis). This is in contrast to the majority of RF treatments that work on the epidermis and have no effect on deep skin tightening & lifting. The same knowledge ensures that Meso-CRF® is pain-freenon-invasive and requires zero downtime, in contrast to most other radiofrequency treatments.

Specifically for post-liposuction patients, we provide Meso-CRF® PostLipo, i.e. the simultaneous combination of these three techniques specifically adapted to the needs of patients following liposuction, vaser, smart lipo, tummy tuck and body-tite procedures. Lately we started seeing patients who had cellu-tite and cellulaze "cellulite removal" surgery, which in all cases has gone wrong and produced bumps, scar tissue, pigmentation and not much cellulite reduction. We work with those cases too and with good results.

Of course Meso-CRF® PostLipo is not a miracle treatment, but if you suffer from skin laxity, localised fat deposits and cellulite after liposuction then Meso-CRF® PostLipo is the most advanced tightening treatment available, provided by a real post-lipo treatment expert with 16 years' experience (please note that, as with any treatment or body product, results vary from person to person).

Please note that the skin is ALWAYS sensitive and inflamed for several weeks after lipo, tummy-tuck, vaser, smart lipo, bodytite, cellu-tite and cellulaze (despite what surgeons tell you before the operation). So in order to offer you the best possible treatment, we accept post-lipo clients for treatment only after the sixth week after surgery - not earlier and with no exceptions.
