What happens to the fat released by the cavitation or radiofrequency treatment?
Fat released by radiofrequency and cavitation can be oxidised for energy in the muscles and other tissues
Both ultrasound cavitation and radiofrequency stimulate the release of fat, in the form of triglycerides, by the fat cells (adipocytes). These triglycerides are taken up by the lymphatic vessels and the veins and end up in various body tissues (such as the muscles) where they can be burned (oxidised) for energy.
Exercising and eating healthily on the day of the treatment ensures maximum results
If on the day of the treatment the body is in "calorie deficit", i.e. if you have not eaten any fattening food and/or if you have exercised, then the fat released by the treatment will be oxidised for energy. Therefore, eating healthily and exercising on the same day maximises the effects of any cellulite/fat removal treatment.
On the other hand, if on the day of the treatment you eat normally (or even worse, excessively), you are sedentary or you drink alcohol, then the body will redeposit some of the excess calories back into adipose tissues around the body. The adipose tissues on the treated areas will be less receptive towards the absorption of fat, but still the fact remains that some fat will be redeposited into adipose tissues throughout the body.
So eating normally or excessively and being sedentary on the same day minimises the effects of any fat/cellulite removal treatment treatment, while on the other hand, dieting and exercising on the day of the treatment will maximise the results of the treatment and your investment in it.
