The Lipo Active Cellulite Massage...

...is an advanced cellulite reduction treatment which is based on manual, cellulite-specific massage manipulation. The Lipo Active Cellulite Massage is quite distinct from any other cellulite massage available today, in that it was specifically designed to act directly on the cellulite tissues and not the muscles or the skin, like all other cellulite massages do. Furthermore, the Lipo Active Cellulite Massage is applied via the Lipo Actives, a unique cellulite massage cream that contains 20x natural, active ingredients (fruit extracts, herbal extracts, vitamins, aminoacids, peptides, proteins and essential oils) that fight all aspects of cellulite.

The precisely targeted massage provides mechanical energy and stimulation directly on the cellulite tissues (fat cells, connective tissue and blood/lymphatic vessels), whilst the multiple active ingredients of the cream provide a natural and effective biochemical stimulation on the same tissues, thereby boosting the effectiveness of massage. The combination has multiple beneficial effects on your cellulite which are visible and are felt immediately: better circulation, improved skin tone, reduced puffiness and sensitivity and a smoother skin surface. Some of these results may last for hours or even days after the treatment and with repeated application these effects become cumulative and long-lasting.

Cellulite-specific massage: the most cost-effective cellulite treatment available today

In contrast to expensive yet highly ineffective hi-tech cellulite reduction solutions (such as lasers, radio-frequency, electrotherapy, some forms of ultrasound), intrusive and painful solutions (such as injections), or irrelevant solutions (such as liposuction and smart lipo that do not affect cellulite fat at all) cellulite-specific massage has high effectiveness at comparatively low cost, with the added benefit of being a pleasant, natural and holistic process. Because of this high effectiveness-to-cost ratio and the holistic, natural approach the Lipo Active Massage is the ideal solution for cellulite prevention and maintenance, not just reduction, and can form the part of a natural health and fitness regime together a healthy diet and lots of mild exercise.

Massage: a traditional remedy for the prevention of cellulite

Massage has been used as a cellulite prevention tool for decades in various parts of the world where there is a pronounced body care culture. In countries such as France, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Russia and several Arab countries cellulite massages taken as often as three times a week comprise an important part of a woman’s beauty maintenance routine. In these countries massage has always been part of the culture and with the widespread increase in cellulite in the last few decades, cellulite massage started becoming an important preventative measure in the fight against cellulite. In the US and particularly in the UK, where massage only recently became a part of the culture, cellulite massage is greeted with the same disbelief as normal body massage was greeted with 10 years ago. “How can a massage possibly help cellulite?” is a common question we are asked, and this is a question we aim in answering in this article.

Cellulite-specific massage as opposed to muscle-specific massage

Since cellulite massage has not been an exact science, techniques vary widely not only between countries but also between therapists, with some being more effective and other missing the point. Many massage techniques act mainly on the muscles and thereby miss the all important cellulite tissues, whist others act mainly on the surface of the skin (epidermis), not only missing the cellulite tissues but also irritating the skin and blood vessels instead.

Mechanical massage for cellulite: mixed results

Some mechanical massages applied with suction (the palper-rouler technique) offer mixed results: they may help celulite but they may also overstretch the skin making it loose. This is like giving with one hand and taking with the other. These techniques may also cause thread veins (aka spider veins). Mechanical, vacuum suction-assisted palper-rouler massage is clearly not the way to go, considering that this technique is not what you would call pleasant with the palper-rouler machine making quite a lot of noise too. In contrast, manual cellulite massage does not cause thread veins, does not loosen up the skin, there is no annoying noise involved and is very pleasant to receive.

Cellulite-specific massage manipulation enhanced by advanced anti-cellulite creams

The Lipo Active Cellulite Massage (LACM) is different: it is the result of much thought, deliberation, experimentation and improvement over 9 years and is based on the anatomy and physiology of the cellulite tissues. It acts exactly where it should, the cellulite, not the epidermis or the muscles, and causes no side effects such as thread veins, skin loosening or any other problem. The LACM is not just one technique, it is a combination of several different techniques that are used together and according to each client’s different needs:

  1. If fluid retention comprises a large part of your cellulite or is a “cellulite risk factor” for you, more emphasis will be placed on not just draining the excess fluid (with lymph drainage techniques) but also stimulating the strength, function and integrity of your blood and lymph vessels with the right techniques and the right massage application medium (cellulite massage cream).
  2. If scar tissue is important in your case more vigorous techniques will be applied, specific to scar tissue improvement
  3. If fat is your most important cellulite risk factor different techniques and cream are used
  4. If you suffer from loose skin, again, different methods and cream are used.

Mesotherapy Massage: the first of it’s kind, worldwide!

As you noticed we mentioned “application mediums” (cellulite massage creams) in the above paragraph. The Lipo Active Cellulite Massage is not just a cellulite-specific massage, it also acts as an absorption enhancer for the Lipo Actives. The Lipo Actives are two unique combinations that each contains a total of 20x anti-cellulite natural active ingredients in effective, therapeutic concentrations: caffeine, retinol (vitamin A), carnitine, phosphatidyl choline (highly purified lecithin), pentapeptides, CLA, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), butcher’s broom, horse chestnut, tocopherol (vitamin E), and essential oils of mandarin, rosemary, mint, geranium, bitter orange, grapefruit and eucalyptus, among many other ingredients that fight cellulite in many different fronts (namely: fat accumulation, fluid retention, loss of skin elasticity and strength, connective tissue deformity, inflammation and poor circulation). All these actives are contained in an all natural base of Jojoba oil, Shea butter and Aloe vera, avoiding harsh artificial chemicals that do more harm than good to the skin.

Enhanced absorption of 20x cellulite-fighting natural active ingredients

We have found that the Lipo Active Cellulite Massage helps your skin absorb at least three times the amount your skin would normally absorb if you just applied the cream at home. Thereby the LACM acts as a natural form of needle-free mesotherapy. Mesotherapy normally involves the injection of active ingredients straight into the cellulite tissues. However, this multiple injection procedure is very intrusive, painful and has side effects, including inflammation and bruising that lasts for weeks. No-needle mesotherapy with ultrasound, electrical currents and lasers has been developed to bypass these limitations, but treatment is usually extremely expensive*. The LACM acts as a no-needle mesotherapy technique without the added cost, with all the extra benefits that a good celulite massage can offer and, according to our experience, the same effectiveness as needle-free mesotherapy techniques. The Lipo Active Cellulite Massage is to the best of our knowledge, the first “Mesotherapy Massage” in the world.

How can a massage help cellulite?

The Lipo Active Massage is not just an absorption vehicle for the Lipo Actives, it directly targets cellulite through many different mechanisms, the most important one being connective tissue stimulation and adipose tissue apoptosis, with lymphatic function stimulation, lymphatic drainage, circulation enhancement and blood vessel strengthening also playing important roles. We know that all these terms sound complicated, so let us explain everything in simple words.

Stem cell differentiation

Your skin constantly evaluates mechanical and biochemical stimulations and accordingly decides to either replace fat cells with collagen cells, or get rid of collagen cells and replace them with fat cells. This process is called mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) differentiation. The Lipo Cellulite Massage and the Lipo Actives give the right signals to your skin to do exactly what we want: to increase the number of collagen-producing cells at the expense of fat cells, thereby replacing “flab” with firmness. And if you think this is just some mambo jumbo science, well, think again: this is mainstream science and there are already hundreds of scientific studies that examine this phenomenon. Our technique simply utilizes the knowledge derived from these studies!

The role of diet in addition to the role of cellulite massage and cellulite creams

Of course, dietary nutrients (fats, proteins, sugars, antioxidants etc.) play a very important role, also sending biochemicals signals to the cellulite tissues to act accordingly: if there are plenty of saturated fats and glucose in the bloodstream the cellulite adipose cells will grow, if there are plenty of antioxidants and omega-3 fats and few sugars and saturated fats, they will shrink. However, sending signals in the form of the right kind of mechanical stimulation (Lipo Active Cellulite Massage) and nutrients through a cream (Lipo Actives) is very important and very effective too.

Fat trapped in the cellulite tissues due to poor lymphatic drainage

Cellulite is not only fat and connective tissue weakness, fluid retention also plays a very important role, preventing fatty acids from leaving the fat cells, thereby creating a “fat trap” which can make cellulite worse. This is in addition to the negative effects of water accumulation per se, which worsens the appearance of the skin by making it look puffy and unhealthy.

Lymphatic stimulation and repair in addition to lymphatic drainage

A lot of attention has been placed for decades on the benefits of lymphatic drainage, and it’s usefulness in cellulite prevention and reduction is now well established. However...

...the Lipo Active Massage does not just comprise lymphatic drainage massage techniques, but also lymphatic stimulation ones. In other words, the LACM does not just help you passively drain the fluid, it also stimulates your lymph vessels and veins to drain the excess water themselves more effectively. The Lipo Actives also play a very important role in this process, providing essential blood and lymph vessel-strengthening nutrients to nourish and strengthen them, and stimulate their function.

Clearly, the LACM offers a lot more than a plain lymph drainage massage. We do indeed include the old-fashioned lymphatic massage in our group of techniques but we don’t stop there - we go one step further with all the other techniques mentioned in this article in order to create the best cellulite massage available today!

This all sounds great, but does it actually work?

In the end, it all boils down to effectiveness: generations of women have prevented cellulite with simple, primitive anti-cellulite massages for decades, proving the effectiveness of massage as a celulite prevention technique. Furthermore, hundreds of our clients went even further, by not just controlling but also reducing their cellulite and improving their firmness with the Lipo Active Massage. In fact we now absolutely guarantee skin firmness improvement with our cellulite massage: we have seen it happening so many times, that we can confidently guarantee it. In addition, we guarantee blood vessel strengthening because we have also seen it happening hundreds of times as well - our clients even getting rid of their tendency to bruise easily after a few treatments! And we can also guarantee that your overall circulation will improve too.

We can also guarantee that you will not develop cellulite if you have treatments three times a week, regardless of lack of exercise and healthy eating (although of course we don’t condone the latter.)

In fact the more you exercise and eat healthily the less you will need help from the Lipo Active Massage, whilst the less healthy you are the more frequent treatments you should have in order to keep your legs firm and smooth.

Together with a decently healthy diet and a mild exercise regime, a weekly or fortnightly Lipo Active Massage is the ideal cellulite prevention treatment: this approach is healthy, holistic, comprehensive, effective and above all, pleasant.

"Do you have any proof of the LACM effectiveness"

Yes we do. We actually went as far as to conduct small trials whereby we treated one leg only in willing volunteers in order to visibly - and palpably - prove the effectiveness of the technique - regardless of diet and exercise. Treating both legs and taking before and after photos doesn’t prove anything, as the results could well be derived from diet and exercise. Treating one leg only instead, ensures that whatever results are observed are due to the treatment no diet or exercise, as both legs benefit from diet and exercise whilst only the treated leg benefits from the treatment!

You can see the photos and feedback by clicking these links. In fact, these clients could not only see the results but also touch the difference between the right side which was puffy and soft and the left side which became firm and smooth after a course of treatments! In case you worry about them, it’s good to know that we later treated the other leg too - free of charge of course! What else could we do for you?

* We also offer an ultrasound-based mesotherapy technique which complements our mesotherapy massage and offers all the therapeutic benefits of ultrasound combined with enhanced absorption of the Lipo Actives. We offer this technique to all our clients, according to their specific needs and at an affordable price, usually in alternation with the Lipo Active Cellulite Massage.
