Does LipoTherapeia work?
Does LipoTherapeia reduce cellulite?
This is the most common question we are asked about the treatment, so it should be answered properly and in a straightforward manner: LipoTherapeia is guaranteed to increase your skin firmness, boost circulation, break down scar tissue, decrease inflammation and detoxify the cellulite tissues (five out of the six components of cellulite), without you making any effort other than lying on the treatment table and applying the Lipo Actives (the natural, high potency, exclusive to LipoTherapeia, anti-cellulite topical formulations). However, for fat reduction (the sixth component of cellulite), your input - in the form of a healthy diet, alcohol drinking and exercise regime - is necessary. So, if you do “work”, then LipoTherapeia does work. If you don’t “work”, then LipoTherapeia still works (for the five out of six components of cellulite), but will produce less results.
In fact, the same rule applies to all cellulite reduction treatments:
you can't effectively and permanently reduce cellulite without
following a healthy diet and exercise. Having said that, if you do
believe in miracles (i.e. hyped-up treatments that promise to
“melt-away the fat” without you making any effort), then a responsible
approach such as LipoTherapeia is not for you and you need not read any
further. You may well waste your money on electrical currents, detox

liposuction - which don't do anything for cellulite.
How do I know that it is the treatment that works, and not my diet and exercise? Georgios' case study with Jane
“One of the most common questions I am asked by clients is “how do I know that it is LipoTherapeia that produced my local fat loss and not my diet and exercise?
When I started, eight years ago (2000), I had the same question and insecurity in my mind about my treatment. So I and Jane, a new client of mine, decided to objectively assess the effectiveness of the technique by applying it only on on one thigh / buttock only for a couple of months - and then treat the other leg of course!
Why did I do that? Because applying the treatment on both sides (e.g. both legs) is misleading as you cannot know if the result is due to diet and exercise or due to the effectiveness of the treatment. In addition, "before" photographs are always taken with nasty, harsh lighting whilst "after" photos are taken with nice, soft, pleasing lighting. Viewers, after a few years of being exposed to this trick, became cynical about such "engineered" before and after photos.
Trying a technique on one leg only, with the other leg acting as a control, is the most honest and accurate method of assessing a treatment’s effectiveness, since both legs are affected equally by exercise and diet, but only the treated leg benefits from the treatment. This way we avoid the usual suspicion that exercise and diet are responsible for the improvement - instead of the treatment itself. In addition, by doing an one-leg test you cannot fool viewers with misleading lighting, as the same lighting is applied on both treated and untreated leg.
So I volunteered to offer Jane 50% off the full price of the treatment for her willingness to spend two months of “unevenness”. The experiment paid off for both of us: she received a 50% discount for her course and was convinced of the effectiveness of the treatment, while I got a fantastic case study and testimony. The difference between the two hips was striking: the untreated hip was much softer and mattress-like in relation to the treated one, which was firm to touch, lifted and overall nicer to look at. Nathalie's case study
Throughout the years we repeated this test with a few more clients, in order to build a more comprehensive portfolio of case studies. The most recent case (2007) is that of Nathalie's. We treated only her left leg for 15 sessions, leaving the right untreated. The results speak for themselves, as you can see on the "Before and after photos" page. In total Nathalie lost 2.5cm from the left leg without losing any overall weight (she didn’t want to).
Unfortunately a photograph cannot portray non-visual qualities, especially the difference in firmness between the two sides. After the course of treatments Nathalie’s left hip felt firm and tight in comparison to the right, which instead felt puffy, looser and unhealthy. Of course, after the photos were taken we started treating the right leg to balance the two sides.
Other cases
In a separate trial, we assessed the effectiveness of the Lipo Actives on one leg only, on another client. That client lost two centimetres of fat (not water) from her thigh in two months, in relation to the untreated thigh. There is no photographic documentation of this study but more details are available on request.
In another experiment a client tried the Lipo Actives on the left side of her abdomen and waist. There was a visible difference in one month and those visible results persisted for about 18 months. That was one of our best showcases ever.
In general, clients find that the degree of fat loss that occurs locally on the treated area is much higher than that occurring on the rest of the body.
There are plenty of similar cases and unless you are very undisciplined with your diet you will have similar results as well. In most cases clients' partners are sceptical in the beginning, but as soon as they see the efficacy of the treatment (usually by the end of the course) they become fervent supporters.
