Pressotherapy...

...(also known as alternate compression therapy or pneumatic compression therapy) is one of the best treatments for fluid retention and cellulite reduction, especially when combined with strong lymphatic stimulation massage and concentrated anti-cellulite creams.

The effectiveness of the pressotherapy treatment depends heavily on the equipment used. Poor pressotherapy equipment can reduce the effectiveness of the treatment by more than 50%, meaning the you have to spend twice the money and time for the same results. In this case, cheap treatment provided with cheap equipment turns out to actually be much more expensive than treatment provided with quality equipment.

The quality of the pressotherapy equipment depends on the following five factors:

1. Number of pressure compartments. For our Lipo Active Pressotherapy treatments we utilise pressotherapy boots that comprise 10 inflation compartments. More compartments means more precise and effective lymphatic drainage. Most pressotherapy machines comprise 3-5 pressure compartments.
2. Speed of compression-decompression. Our machine is the fastest on the market achieving a full inflation-deflation cycle in less than 15 seconds. The faster the compression-decompression time the more the effective the lymphatic drainage is. Most machines in the market can take up to 2 minutes for a full cycle, wasting your time and money and providing you with poorer results.
3. Compression intensity. Our equipment can provide pressure of 110mmHg at fast inflation-deflation speeds, meaning fast, effective and most importantly deep lymphatic drainage that affects not just the surface but the muscles too. In this way you benefit from both lymphatic and deep tissue massage at the same time!
4. Pressure gradient. Our patented compression boots offer a continuous pressure differential between the foot and the hip through an ingenious valve mechanism similar to the one used by your own lymph and blood vessels! This of course is in addition to the compression-decompression effect. This enhances the effectiveness, safety and speed of the treatment. No other machine in the market offers this mechanism. 
5. Area of leg covered. At LipoTherapeia we use long pressure boots that cover the full length of the leg even in tall women. Many pressotherapy boots are too short, meaning they literally "dump" the lymph and blood at mid-thigh level, leaving your body to complete the lymphatic drainage to the inguinal lymph nodes and veins itself. This simply defies the purpose of pressotherapy and wastes your time and money!
